Tom Poultney - Documentry Photography.-Finished

Task 1.

Researching for documentary photography,

Steve McCurry:

(Taken from www.SteveMcCurry.co.uk )

These are from a series about the earth quake that hit Japan in May this year.
He took a series of pictures where he'd found objects in the ruins,
Objects such as, mug's family pictures, toys, religious memorabilia and personal belongings.

Nuclear Families - By Ed Thompson.
Nuclear families is about Low income families living in urban areas of England, just by nuclear power stations because of the low income, the photographs of these kinda show a community of thier own where they have lives almost the same as any other area but always behind you'll see the power stations or pile-ons

Richard Billingham (Unsure what this is called seen hunderads of different titles so unsure of the real one)
Task 3.

These images are my artistic response to Steve McCurry's 5/11 -Japan.

Task 2 + 4.

Task 5.

Task 6.

Richard Billingham.

Me.

The connections beween my pictures and Richard Billinghams are that they're both from around my house, they're both of our ideas of normality, they have similar lighting and the grainy effect.

Me.

Steve McCurry.

These images are only similar in the ideas of using toys.
everything else is nothing alike.

Me.

Ed Thompson.

These images are similar in the way that they're pretty much the same things.
Image 1 of mine and Ed Thompsons are both of buildings out a window.
Image 2 of both are of houses.
Images 3 are both of buildings well lit at night.
